Villa Giona, dwelling of the 16th century, was built by Michele Sanmicheli, a contemporary of Palladio, about a generation older. His classical reference may have influenced Palladio but was himself more influenced by Bramante.
Most of his work was around Verona, like this wonderful villa surrounded by a romantic historical park
