In
the real heart of Rome.
Borgo Pio is the Roman district between the river Tiber
and the Vatican, the biggest part of which was destroyed in the
30th to built that large monumental Via Della Conciliazione which
leads from Castel Sant'Angelo (fomer Hadrian Emperor Mausoleum and
Pope's fortress) to St Peter square.

| The area
still existing preserves the imprint of the ancient Rome of the
"Kings Pope" - "Papa Re" as the Romans used
to call them - with narrow streets in which artisans still work
under ancient shop fronts and warning notices of heavy penalties
both with scudo (Pope's money) and corporal punishments for who
makes them dirty.
The area is rich of bar, trattorias, groceries and small boutiques,
and the life elapses quietly, reflecting the behaviour of the real
Romans who still live there. |

buses for any direction just outside, in walking distance from all
the main important Roman sites and few hundred metres from the subway
station.

out linking 2 apartments like Lella and has a large entrance, two
double bedrooms, two bathrooms, separate Kitchen with table for
4, Kitchenette warderobe and a double sofabed in the livingroom,
a double sofabed in a room passing through.
There is also a nice 4 sleeps apartment with a large
terrace equipped with table, chairs and sun umbrella. |
| All
pictures refer to the standard furnishing, very simple but very
comfortable, with very well equipped kitchen (no dishwasher, sorry).
A shared washing machine is on the groundfloor.
All shops, many restaurants and bar, essential services
either for tourists or for a business stay are in walking distance.
