Gaeta Ulixes Coast

Almonds is a cute small property in the countryside just off the town of Gaeta, on the coast of Ulixes. The house is located uphill overlooking 360° the Gulf of Gaeta and the mountains Orlando, in a peaceful quiet position. The villa Almonds is served by a 350 m. ancient paved road, among stone walls, suggestive but suitable only for medium size vehicles (width 200 cm), that leads to the private parking area, where 4-5 cars can easily take place.
The villa has a main building and a small studio apartment dependence, for a total sleep of 6 people.

The villa is newly decorated, expressing a sense of calm, simpleness and elegance, due also to its high position, receiving the sunlight all day round.
The fittings are minimalist with some antique furniture, never obvious or redundant.
The main building, of approx 70 sqm is displayed on three levels:
from the entrance, on the ground floor the living room, with two armchairs that can occasionally become emergency beds, tvsat and tvset with DVD, internet connection and the fireplace. A telephone is available upon request for extra.

On same level a single bedroom with drawer chest, with a second bed and a bathroom with shower. It can be especially suitable for children or elders who need a comfortable stay with no use of the stairs.

The nice kitchen, same on ground floor, is equipped with 4 gasfire,electric oven, washing machine and a big fridge.

On the first level the double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with bath. From this room the access to the second level through internal stairs, to the beautiful solarium, a full size terrace from which a fantastic panorama can be enjoyed.

The area is well famous for the high class genuine gastronomy.

As can be seen from the terrace, the bathing stations of the beautiful Serapo beach, long and well organized, are very near, less than 1 km, and ideal for children and elders.
Even closer is the romantic small bay of Fontania, public but with private clubs too, with the ruins and the ichthyc ponds of the residence of the ancient roman senator Gneo Fonteo. Not far is also the long beach of the Ariana, insert in between two headlands on the sea, with private bathing stations and public sections.

From one of the two patios the entrance to the dependence, a self contained studio apartment, with wooden beamed ceiling, feauturing a double sofabed, a very small kitchen corner for private breakfast and a bathroom. The dependance is surrounded by the garden.
The entire property, is enough spacious inside, centrally heated and complete with all necessary for a pleasant stay, giving to guests many opportunities to enjoy relax, sunbathing and taking meals in the various outside furnished corners, which can guarantee privacy to everyone.

A Jacuzzi pool with warm-cold water is going to be installed in the garden and will be available very soon.

The supermarkets and the shops are at short driving distance, at about 2 kms, but it's worth the effort for the freshness and unicity of some local products. The juicy tomatoes will make the best sauce or caprese salad ever, to be completed with fresh basil and extravirgin olive oil for a true mediterranean meal, easy to prepare at home. Not to forget the fish from the local markets. The area, however, offers a wide choice of restaurants, pizzerias, bars, the nearest are 2,5 km downtown.

The area is absolutely to be visited, Gaeta itself first with the marina and the historical centre, the delightful villages of Sperlonga and Formia, the Mount Orlando Park and further north the Circeo National Park. Small villages, fantastic bays, long sandy beached, a crystalline sea for days to be spent in the nature, relaxing or practicing sports. For those who are curious to discover historical sites, we suggest a visit to the Tiberio Emperor's Grotto in Sperlonga, to the mausoleum of Munaxio Planco and the to the suggestive Sanctuary of the Broken Mountain in Gaeta or to the Roman theater of Minturno.

The Pontine Islands are reachable easily with daily trips to the beautiful Ponza, or Ventotene from Formia or Terracina.
To remain in the country atmosphere a visit to the mounts Lepini and the villages Cori and Sermoneta and the naturalistic Ninfa Oasis.
Rome and Naples are at no more that 2 hours drive, for a day trip.
