| Nestled in the countryside
of Friuli region, with its luscious views, this residence stands
on the outskirts of Palmanova, an ancient fortified town today
classified as a National monument.
|
|
It was built between the late 1600 and early 1700 by the noble
Venetian family of the Manin Counts as a vacation residence for
the grain reaping season.
The structure is a scaled downtown Venetian palace
and is positioned at the centre of a 10.000 sq m. garden (2.5
acre). |
 |
|
|
A swimmingpool
m 13 x 5,5 x 1.8 m has been just built.
Access from the garden to the main hall is through
a frontal staircase. This hall has frescoes on all the walls and
has doors opening to four rooms: dining room, rustic kitchen,
reading room and the masterbedroom (50 sq m), this also frescoed,
in which a sofa is in fact a third bed. |
| On the east wing
are 3 double bedrooms with two bathrooms.
In one of the bedrooms a third camp bed can be added, for a total
of ten sleeps.
The patient restoration efforts which have returned lost lustre
to the residence, shows the great deal of love and means the current
owners spent during the last 3 years. |
