This
enchanting and very romantic small villa set upon a hill is part
of an hamlet with houses and castle, recently restored.
In the restoration a particular care was taken to recreate, where
possible, the ancient style using only the original stonework.
The hamlet is perched on a hill overlooking the town of Greve
in Chianti, one of the most sought-after locations in Tuscany and
today appears as a peaceful haven enjoying the most amazing vistas.
|
The area surrounding Greve is filled
with beautiful Chianti countryside and picturesque towns. It also
enjoys a great location for day trips throughout Tuscany and surely
is the most picturesque part of the Chianti Classico, midway between
Florence and Siena, each within a half-hour drive.

The House:
The floorings are partially original and the external features have
been designed to reproduce the original as closely as possible.
The Chapel is an independent house, once a real ancient chapel,
now adapted for the stay of a family of four or two couples.
|
The entrance is in the living/dining room with a kitchenette corner
and a bathroom with shower.
Through a stair you reach the first floor with 2 double bedrooms
with air conditioning.
A nice small swimming pool is set inside the private equipped garden,
exclusive for the guests of The Chapel
|
 |
 |
A small reception room has
a telephone, e-mail and fax where guests can receive calls.
Greve is approximately a five-minute drive - walking on paths
through the country only two km - with a multitude of shops selling
a range of handicrafts, food and some of the best wines in Tuscany.
|
| Panzano
in Chianti is a ten minute drive downhill and has some delightful
restaurants and bars.
You can find a restaurant and the church of Santo Stefano in
Montefioralle, an exquisite little piazza in
Greve, with bustling bars and great restaurants, is the
perfect place for an aperitif. Greve also has an art museum in the
former convent of San Francesco.
Don't miss Saturday market in the square! |
