In the green of the vineyards surrounding Castiglione in Teverina, city of wine, an aggregate of few ancient houses with 2 thousand inhabitants laid on a hill overlooking the Tiber river, you will find accommodation in three apartments, two of which are interconnected to allow, where appropriate, groups of friends or families up to 10 people to share their holiday without sacrificing privacy.
The pool will be the meeting point to enjoy a refreshing swim after a day of relaxation between the oasis of Alviano and Mount Rufeno.

OFF THE BEATEN TRACK the district of the Valle dei Calanchi (French Calanques, a sort of gullies produced by erosion created by weathering, particularly from storm water, in the Pliocene) will be in short time a protected area. This area of high natural value, called the Forre della Teverina, includeds the villages of Bagnoregio, Castiglione in Teverina Celleno, Civitella d'Agliano, and Graffignano and Lubriano. |
| Remarkable evidence of the Etruscan period can be found in the necropolis of Sermugnano near Castiglione, the village of Pianello and, in general, in more nucleus of ancient necropolis and in the roads carved into the rock, scattered everywhere.
The gullies are a particular forms of erosion created by weathering, particularly from storm water, The clays deposited by the ocean in the Pliocene two million years ago let in the soil a layer the fluidity and inconsistency of which determines still now a geological erosion that caused the deep "cuts" on the sides of hills, "wounds" which fail to grow plants for the continuing erosive activity. |
