The houses are located
in an Umbrian hamlet, a former fortified medieval castle of the
13th century, in a quiet position near a little lake surrounded
by woodlands 14 km from the historical centre of Spoleto, 120 km
north of Rome and 200 km south of Florence.
The village among green hills is today and old and quite market
which maintains intact its original structure, with a beautiful
Romanesque church, a tower and the ancient town doors, inside which
40 farmers still live their old traditions. |
| The guests live off
the beaten trucks in a true Italian house, in this true Italian
village, with true Italian farmers, smelling the scent of hand-made
pasta, watching at farmers working in the fields, drinking a coffee
with the owner of the house.

The covered furnished terrace gives access into a spacious, comfortable
sitting/dining room with open fireplace.
The kitchen has cooker, oven and fridge.
Two double bedrooms overlook on the edge of the small Roman hamlet.

The property is five
hundred metres above sea level with remarkable surrounding vistas
and the 2000 sq m garden is laid to lawn and trees and partially
from a covered, furnished terrace at the entrance of the house.
A furnished gazebo provides shade on the lawn.
The cottage is well furnished and very comfortable.
The beautiful swimming pool (10x4 mt) is immersed in a wonderful
greenery and has an enchanting view over the surroundings.
The peaceful village has beautiful environs rich naturalistic, cultural
and historical places.
In the shortest distance it is possible to visit a typical age church
and one dam with a small lake. |

beautiful paths where to practice trekking.
Assisi, Perugia, Gubbio, Orvieto are in the ray of 55km.
Not to forget the evocative Valnerina (from the falls of Marmore
to the town of Norcia), the archaeological escavations of Carsulae,
the Clitunno Springs. |

But most
important is a visit to Spoleto, one of the main tourist Umbrian
attractions where the Roman Theatre, the National Archaeological
Museum with roman and pre-Roman collections have great importance.
Spoleto hosts the Festival dei Due Mondi in the last
week of June and the first two of July, one of the most important
cultural event in Italy. |

Built in the 13th century and recently renovated whilst respecting
its original characteristics with iron grills on the windows, is
a 3-room house on two levels.
Ground floor:
living/dining room with large fireplace and double sofa bed. Kitchen
with oven separated from the living room by an arch. One single
bedroom without window (access from the living room). |

First floor:
One double bedroom, bathroom with shower. Opposite the house there
is an outdoor area with benches.
Todi, first Etruscan and then Roman looks down over the Tiber valley
fifteen kilometres away.
Nearby Facilities
Within eight hundred metres is a grocery store for immediate shopping,
other shops and restaurants 3 km far away in the village of Baiano.
From this strategic position it is possible to explore the ancient
cities of Umbria with ease. Spoleto, which was a Roman colony is
approximately thirteen kilometres distant and held here annually
is Europe's leading arts festivals during June and July.
From the rail station just three kilometres away, Rome centre is
reached in an hour and ten minutes.
