Located in Santissima Annunziata, a pretty village in the countryside, 2 km out of Lucca, La Corte is an elegant villa with a comfortable décor.

The 17th Century Tuscan villa, partially restored with decorations in the 18th, was recently enlarged and refined by the owner, who is a creative lady who is still maintaining the traditional manufacturing of old Lucchesi silk fabrics for house decoration and has a very special drapery shop in a contiguous part of the villa, keeping her studio in the lemon-house, an annex to the villa.

She enriched the villa equipping it with all the modern appliances, including air conditioning, while maintaining the traditional charm and character of a typical period villa with terracotta tiled floors, frescoed rooms, and with the ancient family precious antiques furnishings, enhancing its atmosphere and making the villa more elegant and charming, a special stay for art lovers.

A large lovely old Italian garden (3000 sq. m) full of flowers, fruit trees, and old lemon pots and ancient walls surround and keep the villa nicely secluded from the outside world.
This elegant villa has been in the family "for ever".
In the old days it was part of a vast estate with the farmers houses behind it. All the complex was called " La Corte", a typical Lucchese country settlement still existing in some areas of Lucca countryside.

Entrance-large sitting room with baby grand piano, TV room (satellite TV CNN), large dining room, breakfast room. Fully equipped large old country style kitchen equipped with microwave oven, dishwasher, fridge and freezer.
