The
railway going to Genova passes through the village -as it happens
in many other villages, which is characteristic of the region and
gives a special view to the coast from the train users.
The train station is not far away and it is possible to hear the train passing by;it is a familiar event for the local residents who do not care at all.
The highway connection is about 15- 20 minutes away.
Rapallo, S.Margherita, Portofino and Genova, or the 5 Terre , La Spezia, Florence, Lucca and Pisa are within easy reach.
The best way to travel from Bonassola is by train. The 5 Terre are 10-15 minutes away by train.
Train is the most popular way of transport used by the locals. |
It is recommended to forget the car and to enjoy the
relaxing atmosphere of the village; visitors have many important churches to visit, first of all Santa Caterina, richly decorated inside, the unique tiny Madonnina della Punta on the sea, considered the symbol of Bonassola and the dominating San Giorgio, decorated with the local Red Marble.
Many more spots are to be enjoyed and nature lovers will find various guided tours and wild paths in the Parks of Cinque Terre and Portofino.
