why in the Ulixes'Coast?
 |
The Rose House is a
stunning property located In one of the most evocative and uncontaminated
stretch of the the marvellous Ulixes'coast on the via Flacca, just
1,5 km out of Gaeta on the way to Sperlonga, with a breathtaking
panorama on the Pontine islands and on the Circeo promontory in
the windy clean days.

| The villa is a former
1800 Convent built on a rocky and wild promontory overlooking the
sea that includes the sixteenth-century Tower Diane or Tower Scissura,
currently belonging to the Ministery of Culture. The Convent has
been carefully restored and converted into a beautiful house with
the small Church still accessible and in use. The property has a
huge garden, rather a park facing the sea, with cypresses, pinetrees,
prickly pear trees and carob trees. |

The villa overlooks
a small, enchanting inlet, accessible only from the villa through
a private path or private steps, or from the sea; the beautiful
sandy beach Le Scissures and the wide wonderful Ariana beach are
also reachable through private paths.
The house is part of a larger villa and is on two levels.

The first level, slightly
elevated over the ground, has the entry on the large living room,
with a sofa bed for 2 and the big open kitchen with fireplace.
On same level one twin bedroom and the bathroom with shower. This
private area can be useful for elders or for those who prefer to
stay at same level as the living area. |

On
the upper floor the second bathroom with bath and the other bedrooms,
one is double and one has 2 single beds.
From this floor the access to 2 terraces, useful as solarium and
anyhow a pleasure to the eyes.The view from here is fantastic over
the sea, the Pontine Island of Ponza, Ventotene and Palmarola, and
the Aurunci Mountains. |
The house is very well
taken care, tastefully furnished and supplied with all necessary
for a pleasant stay.
One can feel tempted to spend all the time in absolute privacy and
relax, as the villa is in a sort of private heaven, but we suggest
that guests take some time to explore the surroundings, by sea and
by land. |

One can hire a boat and enjoy sea
activities in umpolluted crystal waters, or go out explore the area,
the small towns of Gaeta, Sperlonga and S.Felice Circeo, which offer
beauty, all amenities and a dazzling nightlife. all sorts of restaurants,
bar, pizzerias, disco are at easy reach.
The National Park of Circeo is definetely worth the visit, at minutes
driving distance.

The area, in between
Rome and Naples, offers a high class gastronomy and great wines,
with excellent products to taste every day or at least when dining
out. Mozzarella made with buffalo milk, juicy tomatoes, fresh fish
and the typical "Tiella", a kind of pastry stuffed with
local vegetables and seafood are all local glories.
Rome and Naples are possible to visit in a day trip, although the
Coast of Ulixes is so interesting and attractive that guests are
likely not to move at all! |
