An ancient noble manor house still lived by the
owners and the beautiful restructured farmhouse, Le Vigne, are located
on the top of the hill just in the entrance of the Hamlet of Farnetta,
16 kms out of Todi.
They are part of a large and historic
property of 300 hectares about which lies about 20 Km from Todi,
with oak tree woods and sunflower fields, in the gently rolling
hills of southern Umbria, in the Todi county, belonging since many
centuries ago to the same family from Todi. |
The historic manor-house is linked with the Le Vigne by a path
which crosses a beautiful garden and leads to the swimming pool
(shared with the owners, in fact very seldom there, always too busy
with the farm).
Both from the house and the garden
surrounding Le Vigne there is an amazing view of the countryside
and hills.
In the stone out-house there are a laundry and a table-tennis. |

The house
The whole house has been carefully furnished with a touch of very good taste, with family's antiques and comfortable sofas. The ensamble
gives a fealing of very warm and romantic atmosphere.
On the ground floor there is a double bedroom with bathroom, a dining-room
with fireplace and TV Sat; the French windows leads into the garden,
equipped with a barbecue, wood burning-oven and garden furniture.

A pergola is furnished with table and chairs for a pleasant
dinner "al fresco".
The dining room is linked with the
hall by a fireplace, the kitchen and a bathroom.
The kitchen is not very large but
fully equipped, with oven, fridge and freezer.

On the first floor there are a bedroom with two
bunk beds, two bathrooms and three double bedrooms, one of which
with a third bed. |

Distances:
16 km Todi, 30 km Spoleto, 40 km Orvieto, 75 km Assisi, 100 km Rome,
120 km Rome airport, 3 km tennis, 10 km horse riding.
The house is centrally located in the
province of Umbria, between oak forests and sunflowers fields, in
a region that has a striking undiscovered charm and is full of pleasant
surprises. |
The world-renowned Fossil Forest, located in the nearby town
of Dunarobba, houses the only fossilized (not petrified) wood that
is still in its vertical position.
Down the road, Carsulae has perhaps the most beautiful ancient ruins
of any Umbrian-Roman city in central Italy.

Also close by are Amelia with its gigantic city
walls and intriguing museum, Narni with its perfectly preserved
Medieval urban city plan, and Lugnano in Teverina withone of the
most beautiful Umbrian-Roman churches still standing today.
In addition, the nearby Marmore Waterfalls ("la Cascata delle
Marmore") are considered some of the most spectacular in the
world.
All of these amazing sites, and many more, are only minutes away
by car from the Villa. |
A few metres from Le Vigne, among the stone houses of the hamlet
there is a pretty apartment for 6: BORGO ANTICO.
The house develops on 3 floors, two of which have direct acces from
the road. Two bedrooms for 4 sleeps (+ 2 on the sofabed), kitchenette
corner and fireplace in the living room, heating with stove.
In summer time the thick walls maintain fresh air inside. |
