LO STALLUCCIO, a XV/XVI cent.
farmhouse steeped in the silent valley at the feet of Mount Cetona
in the vast wooded land estate of a restored Benedictine Abbey. Located
in the south of the Tuscan province of Siena, in a gentle valley,
surrounded by 2500 acres estate belonged to the ancient Abbey, flanking
the park of the Val d'Orcia, LO STALLUCCIO was carefully restored
in 1999 to become an elegant, old world charm, spacious and totally
independent villa, a delightfully rural base for visiting Tuscany
and Umbria. |
It can be reached in three minutes drive,
crossing charming untouched countryside. The guests will appreciate
the characteristics of this land: enhance the quality of life in relation
to the surroundings, while respecting that silence.
The interior decoration is a tasteful blend of antique and modern
furniture;
A minimalist flavour keeps always in coherent link with the rural
past of the site.
A spacious garden together with a crown of scented brooms and uncontaminated

The whole area is a patchwork of medieval
hilltop villages, which are all worth a visit; Sarteano and Cetona
are few miles away and very close to the main road and rail network
of central Italy.
Each bedroom has a phone extension and an en suite bath and hair dryer.
Two hours of cleaning daily and a mid-week linen change are included
in the cost.
Cooking service for breakfast, lunch and dinner may be requested directly
on-site with 48 hours advance notice. Better if booked before the
arriving. |
Sarteano with its shops is 15 minutes away
by car.
Chiusi, near the highway, within 20 minutes drive, has trains that
reach Rome or Florence in one hour.

Spacious kitchen with door to the garden with stove top, oven, fridge
and dishwasher, connected to the living rooms.
Spacious sitting/dining room, with a big fireplace, door to the garden
and a superb large glass window on the landscape.
A comfortable sitting room for watching television in the stairs case.

The countryside between Sarteano and Radicofani is dotted with monasteries
and castles.
REMARKS
The house is available weekly from Saturday afternoon (5 p.m.) to
Saturday morning (11 a.m.) all the year.
Arrivals after 10 p.m. are not accepted. Pets are not accepted. |
