The Regione

di Castro, San Lorenzo Nuovo, Acquapendente, Pro-ceno, Montefiascone,
Bagnoregio, Castiglione in Teverina, Lubriano, Graffignano and Civitella

wine shops and typical restaurants, fish shops, farms, artisan shops,
folk manifestations.
The Amministrazione Pro-vinciale of Viterbo, which worked out this
program, created the following symbol, in order to distinguish the
"Wine Route of Tuscia".
Some tourist and road signs have been put in the villages where the
"Wine Route" passes through. With the following thematic
catalogue we want to give a guide to the tourists, showing the most
important cultural and artistic resources of our territory and the
folk festivals. We have also found some thematical itineraries of
gastronomic, historical and naturalistic interest.
The territory was divided into three zones, which represent the three
zones of production of the Doc wines of Alta Tuscia.
The DOC wines of the territory of Viterbo are: Aleatico, Est! Est!!
Est!!!, Orvieto, Cerveteri and Vignanello.
The first three were created in the Alta Tuscia, in the "Wine
Route". The volcanic hills around Bolsena with their mild climate,
helped the excellent wine industry. Now we draw up a list of the principal
wine industries of Alta Tuscia. |
