The immediate surroundings, for instance Este, Monselice, Montagnana and Arquà Petrarca, or the impressive abbey of Praglia, still within sight of La Montecchia, offer a cornucopia of cultural sights.

The medieval castle, the Castello del Mottolo, is at the heart of the estate, while the so-called Hunting Lodge, an elegant 16th century villa which is considered one of the highlights of the area, overlooks the estate from a hill at the foot of the Eugenean regional park.

Today the estate and its owners are wholly dedicated to the production of high-quality wine which has been increasingly winning accolades from leading wine critics all over the world.

Part of the castle and 3 apartments within the buildings of the estate have recently been completely renovated with every comfort for discerning guests, to be rented by theweek to those interested in a cultural and/or wine and food orientated holiday in an incomparable setting.

La Casa di Maria
The two-storied Casa di Maria is attached to the administrative offices of the estate. The garden belonging to the house - a lawn with fruit trees, surrounded by a hedge and furnished with a large table and reclining chairs - is reached across the gravel courtyard.

The house consists of a hall, kitchen with dining area and open fireplace, sitting room and bathroom on the ground floor and two twin bedrooms on the first floor.

Due to a slightly - but only slightly - impared grade of privacy, potential clients should keep in mind that this house was designed for travellers who plan to be out sight-seeing most of the day, but wish to return to a comfortable abode in the evenings.

The house is equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine and central heating. Prices are indicated for 4 persons.

The Golf della Montecchia, immediately adjoining the La Montecchia estate
Designed by Tom Macaulay, chairman of the British Association of Golf Course Architects, the site comprises an 18-hole course (par 72 / SSS 73, length 6.318 m) and a 9-hole course (par 36 / SSS 36, length 3,012 m) and covers over 200 acres.
Attached to the course are the clubhouse - a converted tobacco warehouse - the excellent Restaurant Relais Golf Montecchia, a bar, a pro-shop and the swimming pool.
Guests are granted a 30 per cent reductions on the green fee.

INCLUDED IN THE RENT

-Bed linen, a set of 2 towels per person
Should you have rented your accommodation for more than 1 week, the house will be cleaned on Saturdays and the linen will be changed.

-Your accommodation is equipped with a washing machine, dishwasher, oven, fridge with freezer, electric filter coffee machine, iron and ironing board, CD-stereo.

-Soaps and detergents: 2 new sponges, 1 tablet of dishwasher detergent, liquid soap in every bathroom, 2 rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom.

-Children bed and high chair upon request. Linen is provided.

-Casa di Maria is equipped with air condition in one of the bedrooms.

-The outdoor pool at the adjoining golf club is open from the beginning of June to the middle of September from Tuesday to Friday 10.30 am - 7.30 pm free of charge.

EXTRA CHARGES

-Central heating the central heating is turned on centrally. Once the heating has been turned on, the estate will calculate EUR 16,00 per day. If you do not need the heating anymore, please advise someone of the estate so that at the end of your stay you are only charged the actual days you have needed the heating. Thank you.

-Household help available upon request and will be charged EUR 8,00 per hour

-Telephone upon request a mobile phone is available at the office of La Montecchia. The telephone works with prepaid chips.
A security deposit of € 50,00 is requested

-Towels Extra set of towels EUR 3,50 per week

-Casa di Maria have a sofa in the living room, which can be transformed into a single bed.

-Pets not allowed on the estate
