If you take the Fabro exit of the highway Rome-Milan, about halfways between Rome and Florence, (120 Km from both) after 3 Km you will suddenly find yourselves in another world, in another time.

SALCI is a small Italian unknown jewel: an uninhabited middle age fortified village surrounded by walls, on the top of a small hill just on the border between Tuscany and Umbria, recently and partially restored by the owners.

Nearby there is the castle and the church. Just when you reach the village of Salci, that will suddenly appear at the end of a curve, you will feel the spell of a medieval atmosphere, immersed in a scrupulously preserved natural environment, that makes this place an outstanding experience.

By contrast you will appreciate the modern comfort of "Le Due Colombe", ("the two doves") the independent apartment where rural decor and modern comfort are harmoniously integrated.

Le Due Colombe is a dependence of the Casale Di Salci, which is a 19th century magnificent mansion, perfectly restored, immersed in a hilly forest, a main building in which the owners, a kind English, Russian and French speaking couple with many hobbies, including the breeding of two thorough breeds horses, steadly live with their gentle dog,
The swimmingpool is shared with the owners.

The apartment Le Due Colombe is particularly suitable fot two couples and one single, as it was formerly meant to be divided into two separate flats.
It consists of two separate living rooms, one with a single sofa bed and one with a double sofabed and a double bedroom.
For best privacy and comfort, every living room has its private kitchen corner and its bathroom, one with shower and the other with bath.
In order to assure a complete independence, the apartment has two entrances and a door between the two living rooms to be left open or close according to privacy requirements.
In total the apartment can sleep a couple with kid and another couple, who can share common spaces while keeping their own absolute privacy and habits.

Furnishing and interior decorations is of top quality, personally planned by the owner, a French lady. The property is at the crossroad with Toscana e Umbria, two of the Italian regions more endowed with artistic and natural treasures. From within the apartment, resting on your sofa, you will be able to enjoy the sight of Tuscany and Umbrian's gentle hills, trimmed with cypresses, vineyards, farmhouses and castles.
In the background there is Monte Cetona, behind which the sun will fire intense and dramatic sunsets.

In the morning, as the apartment is at ground level, you will be able to have breakfast in the garden, immersed in bird chirping, watching glimpses of quiet farm life all around. In all seasons it will be nice to come home from a walk in the woods, a trip to lake Trasimeno or a visit to one of the many artistic towns in the vicinity: Orvieto, Città della Pieve, Todi, Arezzo, Perugia and Siena. In winter you will come back finding comfortable modern heating and, if you like it, you could enjoy the warmth of a nice stove.
Rome and Florence, only120 Km’s distant, can be easily reached for a daily trip either by car or by train.
