The town of Toscolano Maderno, in the heart of the Alto Garda Bresciano Park, once used to be two different tiny villages, connected through a bridge. They age since the Romans and during the time have developed several skills, among them the industry of paper, with the presence of numerous paper mills. A specific itinerary through the antique paper mills can be fascinating, along the River Toscolano Valley. The paper industry is still totally alive and gives good satisfaction to the inhabitants.

The Garda Lake Riviera is also called the Lemon Riviera, and a town nearby has the same name, for the cultivation of lemons is more ancient that the first houses in the area.
