La Tenuta is an exclusive and prestigious property, in a suggestive country landscape, 6 kms from St. Peter, in an area served by public transport in the town of Rome.
It is a marvellous 150 hectares private farm, built in 1500 and belonging to a noble roman family since 1700, who lives there and has organized for the visitors different interesting possibilities for a pleasant stay in the countryside, yet close to the heart of Rome. The guests share a big swimming pool, daily furnished on four sides with deckchairs, umbrellas, tables and chairs to enjoy dining "al fresco"

La Tenuta is warmly suggested to groups or large families, but also to small families because it consists of three different houses, recently renovated, that can be rented separately. the Tower, the Barn and the Cottage.
The Tower
The suggestive Tower is a four level
12th Century, squared section building, totally renewed, displaying windows on every side of the park.

On the ground floor a big kitchen fully furnished and a bathroom with shower. On first level a living room with fireplace. On second level a twin bedroom, bathroom with bath. On third level, a big double bedroom. Everything is tastefully decorated, with antiques and modern appliances. Tvsat, DVD, hi-fi, computers with Internet and phone on demand, oven, freezer, dishwasher. High quality linen. Courtesy bath accessories and mineral water in the bedrooms available for the guests upon arrival.

The Barn
The Barn is a renewed farmhouse, featuring 5 private bedrooms, each with en suite bath. All rooms have view on to the park:
-a double bedroom suite with ensuite bathroom with bath and shower
- a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with bath
- a single French size bedroom with ensuite bathroom with bath
- a double bedroom with en suite bathroom with shower

A large living room with fireplace, cotto floorings and chestnut wood beam ceiling, a totally furnished 2 ovens modern kitchen, a "rose" dining room and a studio room with TVsat, wi-fi internet.
High quality linen and courtesy bathroom accessories.
Upon arrival guests will find courtesy mineral water in their rooms.
The owners arrange private meals, prepared using fresh home grown ingredients, to be served in the big salon, upon request, for extra charge.

The Cottage
The Cottage is a romantic, delightful one room brickwork house,next to the Tower, with a kingsize bedroom area, a double sofabed, bathroom with bath and a small equipped kitchen with dining table and chairs. This lovely and charming cottage has A/C, TV, Internet connection on deman, fridge, 2 electric fire cooker, microwave and a wardrobe.
High quality linen and courtesy bath accessories.

The guests of La Tenuta are welcomed to visit and eventually work the organic vegetable garden, approach the farm animals, or try the suggestive walking paths through the big cork forest.
They can also practice many sports, tennis table, volleyball, petanque, minifootball, mountain bike, badmington, bocce, as well as playing with the pets, arrange a barbecue, go birdwatching, biking,and also take italian cooking lessons on request!

On the premises guests can buy eggs, biological vegetables and wine, extra-virgin olive oil..
Events and private parties can be organized with the owners. They can arrange cooking and waiting staff on request.

SOME HISTORY
We can find some traces of this 150 hectares property in ancient documents, where we can find the so called fundus bravi in the 12th century.It became property of the Order of the Canonici of Saint Agnes in Agone during XIV century, then to the Marchesanis Family in XV and later to the Massimi Family in XVI. In XVIII the Tower and the whole property was given to the actual owners, a roman noble family, who lovingly restored it.
