Villa Villalta

This impressive villa
was built in the 16th century on a hill only 900 m. far from the
city walls of Arezzo town.The villa has a 360°stunning view onto
the hills and valleys of Casentino, Valdarno and Valtiberina.
On the ground floor a large loggia-porch, suitable for dining, is
connected with the kitchen, a living room with fireplace, another
living room for TV set, a dining room, a studio with wide library,
a bathroom with shower. |
| A grand staircase leads to the first
floor where there are a wide living room with fireplace, two double
bedrooms, each with bathroom with tube, other two double bedrooms
and one bathroom with tube.
A staircase leads to the second floor where there are one bedroom
with two French beds and bathroom with tube, a double bedroom with
bathroom with bath, other two double bedrooms and a bathroom with
tube. |

The villa is completely furnished with precious
antiques.
Entrance to laundry is outside the building.
A large park surrounds the villa and the swimming pool has a nice
panorama on the town. |
"Villalta" is 1 Km far
from "Il Palazzaccio"(22 sleeps) (see the concerned page)
through a small country path. Both properties are located in the
same property - they belong to a noble and very old family - surrounded
by the grapes of the farm in which the Count produce rare wines
keeping up the tradition of his ancestor.
Cleaning 4 h. a day is included. |

The villa is located
900 m far from the city wall of Arezzo that is only a ten-minute
walk away. The location is particularly nice because as it lies
across the Valdarno and Casentino territories, sites of great historic
and landscape interest are within easy reach. By way of example:
Sansepolcro, home of Piero della Francesca, is 20 mi. away, Cortona
20 mi., the ancient monasteries of La Verna and Camaldoli 26 mi.,
the road of "Chianti Classico" 20 mi., Florence and Siena
40 mi. |
| Arezzo offers many artistic and
cultural attractions such as the fresco cycle painted by Piero della
Francesca in the church of San Francesco, the medieval Piazza Grande
and the Basilica della Pieve. Interesting possibilities for
shopping are offered by the many shops and boutiques and by the
Prada and Gucci outlet stores, located in Valdarno, about 20 mi.
away. Golf and riding 4 km far. |

and quality of upholstery and bed covers, guests are requested to
subscribe an appropiate travel insurance covering eventual damages.
Such insurance to be transmitted by fax within 42 days before arrival.
